Shira believes in relationship-based therapy that builds on each child’s strengths while honoring their interests and sensory and emotional needs. Drawing on her years of experience in both formal and informal education, she creates engaging sessions tailored to each child’s interests and unique way of learning.
Through curiosity and creativity, Shira helps her clients explore new worlds and discover new words—supporting meaningful communication and confidence. Her approach focuses on connection first, so that every child feels safe, understood, and motivated to grow. She also recognizes that communication is not always equally accessible in every moment and works to understand the conditions that help each child communicate more comfortably and successfully.
Shira’s areas of training include Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and executive functioning, which she integrates to support neurodivergent clients in communication and self-expression. She provides parent training and coaching to help families better understand their child’s communication style and support communication more effectively in daily life.
